Charley & Kane’s Outdoor Wedding at The Barn at White Oaks

There are many ways in which to describe Charley & Kane’s wedding, but one of the first words to come to mind is dreamy. 

This was our first time using our field space to create an outdoor wedding reception under the stars and the result was magical! A late springtime wedding in Kentucky is on the inspiration board of many couples and this one offers up so many beautiful options that you too could make your own. 

Charley wore a beautiful fit and flare dress with sweetheart neckline + off-the-shoulder strap and lace back detail. Here beautiful waves cascaded down her back in a half up & half down hair style. Classic elegance with a romantic touch! 

Her bridesmaids were in the same colorscape as the rest of this colorful wedding- pastel pink, blue, green and butter yellow. Some of the family wore lavender & purple, rounding out the rainbow of pastels. 

The couple’s ceremony was set-up outside beneath a canopy of trees. The altar was marked by a wooden cross with floral embellishments, while the aisle was flanked with bench seating.  Florals in blush, yellow and white, with abundant greenery, adorned the outdoor space. 

As Charley descended the aisle toward Kane, the overwhelming emotion was obvious to everyone. This tearful walk down the aisle didn’t leave a dry eye to be found!  

For the outdoor reception, estate tables on the lawn, with stunning overhead greenery added a touch of whimsy. The decor featured prominent pops of pink + blue, accented with yellow blooms and greenery. Glass beaded chargers with gold accents elevated this cozy tablescape into an inviting, elegant celebration. 

Some of the other details we adored included the audio guest book, Cozy, modern upholstered seating for the newlyweds and the crisp white wedding cake (with three delicious flavors) atop a lush floral base. 

The couple had no need to rent a dance floor, as our built-in patio created the ideal space for dancing. Beneath the string lights, toasts were exchanged and special dances were had. It was a beautiful evening to usher in this new life stage for Charley & Kane.
